ChildrenJust like you did not know what an orgasm was before you had one, nature does not let you know how great children are until you actually have them. What will Matter What will Matter
Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.
So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end.
It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.
So what will matter?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave?
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched,
empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.
What will matter is not memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.
Micheal Josephson A little piece of heavenTonight I put Nico down for bed at 7pm. Started cleaning the kitchen and waiting to watch one of my favorite shows Grey's anatomy. When I heard Nico crying in his crib about one hour later. So I went to check on him and he was biting down on his blanket. So I figured he was probably teething. I brought him dowstairs and gave him some tempra. I tried putting him back to sleep. It was a long day for both of us. However, he didn't want me to leave his side. Wich is very unusual for him. He's Mr. independent. Except when he is in pain. So I brought him into my dark bedroom. We sat on the floor together. As I held his hand I could feel he knew that I was trying to make his pain go away. We sat there in silence for about 45 minutes. I just held his hand while he held his head against my chest. Listening to each others breathing. I could see he was smiling in the dark and started feeling better. Being in that moment and sharing such a magical experience with my son that I love unconditionaly felt like heaven on earth. I felt that there is so much more to learn about life. Being a mother is to love purely and deeply without fear. No matter what the future holds I will be there for him. Moments like this that take your breath away give so much meaning to life and my purpose on earth. XOXO
